Coldmac
Colourseal is a hand applied, machine mixed thin
film overlay based on a pale coloured synthetic binder.
The pale colour
permits pigment to be added in relatively small quantities to give bright, vivid
colours, providing opportunities for enhancing the environment and highlighting
areas of demarcation appropriate to traffic calming projects and safely
improvement schemes.
ColourSeal is a
unique, flexible surfacing material which performs a dual role. Whilst the
process is suitable for many different applications where colourful surfacing
work is required, it also acts as a surface maintenance system. In common with
normal bitumen emulsion systems, it's low viscosity at ambient temperatures
enables the material to penetrate the surface of open substrates binding them
together, thus inhibiting the ingress of water and increasing the life of the
substrate.
ColourSeal takes out
minor imperfections, cracks and potholes, leaves no loose chippings and being a
thin film overlay does not necessitate the lifting of street furniture.
